I am a war, already won.

Weekend recap part one (part two will be my night in Stephenville):

So everyone knows that I and the McWhitesons headed across this great province of ours for YC et al.

The trip began Friday morning when the five of us somehow magically managed to fit into Meagan's little car. I'm not sure how I didn't die because usually on trips like that, my legs just stop wanting to be attached to my body.

The trip was really long up until Gander but then Robyn and I found really awesome ways to keep ourselves occupied. Good times.

So YC highlights for the goers and non-goers:

  • Starfield owns me. I've liked them for years now, this was the fourth time I've seen them in concert (amazingly). They are just a great Canadian band. We went to a panel discussion they held and I fell even more in love when they said "One of our big influences are Our Lady Peace, they are a great Canadian band." :)

  • Newsboys did the one big fancy concert. I didn't like them going into YC, and I pretty much didn't like them coming out. Plus it was just one giant flashback to the 80's. Shows how much I know about contemporary music, since they're like the highest ranked Christian band of all time.

  • Desperation Band. They have three singers? That's all I have to say. It worked completely though.

  • Tree63. The lead singer plain owns me. From his singing to his amazing pants, I want him to come live with me. I super love this band and their accents and everything about them. They're put together so well.

  • Danny Williams popped in for a visit.

  • Mike Yatojaofhaifhski was soooo cool. I'm sure I'll tell you his homeless story at one point but if not, check out his book.

I also got to meet some of Meagan and Robyn's friends and hang out with some of mine. They were all very nice and I got to bond with their really good friend Heather over our shared love of scrapbooking. That's always nice.

Driving home today was super better because of the room in car. Lesson I learned though: Do not pee in a super sketchy rest room at a sketchy gas station, where the window in the bathroom leads into another room instead of outside. Ew.

Arriving home tonight I accomplished nothing. Why am I not surprised. Do I not realize that 15% of my grade in English is due on Thursday and I don't have it started? Smart.

I'm in the same boat as you for English.

MAYBE I'll do it today, seeming as it's due tomorrow.

Do you think our baby looks more like me or you?
