Car crash, ending your day.

So today started with a bang. Literally. What is the one thing you know about my mom? Other than she works at Wal-Mart. What is the only thing she shows love an affection towards? Her prized possession? Right, her car.

As she drove me to work this morning, someone banged into her car. And caused more than a scratch. My mom was hysterical, and completely in shock. I had to phone dad (in St. John’s) and ask him what to do. In the end my mom had to go file a report with the police and I had to walk to work.

My mom wants to sell the car now (once it’s fixed), she says it’s not the same as it used to be. Poor mommy.

When I phoned my dad (who was at work), he phoned Darryl and told him to come out today (he was planning on spending an extra day in St. John’s) so mom would have a car and stuff.

So Darryl arrived around six and already we’ve been to two take-out places (to buy take-out), the liquor store (to buy booze), Wal-Mart (to buy Pepsi) and the grocery store (to buy food). Weight gain, here I come!

Cars are quite scary. I lose more trust in the whole business every day. Our attempts at controlling explosions will catch up with us someday, no sympathy for the devil in his 4 door v8 bullet ride. Or something of that nature.

Don't mind me, I'm feeling very hippyish today. Oh and thanks to you I am now completely in love with Sufjan Stevens. The Avalanche is a beautiful song, along with many others.
