Take me on a truck to Darfur.

My life is like this murder mystery. Somehow.

And beer mountain... can't forget beer mountain.

My job is going great. I love the kids, polite and so ridiculously smart. Only two pees in the pants and one "i hate you!" so I think I'm doing fine.

I go to bed at 10:30 now. Wake up at 6:30. Tis a hard-knock life to be sure.

Love and kisses always.

Oh, and one for the road (from the road?).

Major headache.

This is my life now? Minus the really hot guy. Aka, I got the job. I honestly don't know what I'm thinking. But at least I have a murder mystery party tonight to help me feel better. :)

Oh my.

Help (I'm alive).

Hi friends,

what colour should I dye my hair? Take the poll and let me know.

Red
Blonde
Brown

Merrymeeting: an HBO production.

I spend my Sunday mornings with Sierra. It is a tradition. She doesn't work Sundays and McKayla usually works, so we always have our special bonding times then.

Today we discussed (while sitting outside in frigid cold) how our life would make a great CBC sitcom. So we decided to write a proposal and name the cast. This is what we came up with:

Blaire Waldorf as Sierra Skinner
Tyra Banks as Sarah Smith
Megan Fox as McKayla Reilly
The Nerd from Breakfast Club as Joey Miller
Dawson as Philippe LamarreShia Lebeouf as Patrick Leonard
Robert Pattinson as Gerard Noseworthy
Audrey Tautou as Amkiram Jarl
Brian Wilson as Alex Noftall
Pete Wentz as Robert Jones
Stanford Blatch as Susan Piercey
and Robyn McHugh as herself

Love lockdown.

Isn't she the prettiest girl that you ever did see?

Yesterday I spent the day with Robyn at my cool house. Hiking through snow, cooking soup and watching fantastic Bette Midler movies - what a treat!

I never tire of this girl, she makes me so happy happy happy. And through our bitches and rants I always leave her company feeling twenty-million times more secure in where I am and what I'm doing right now.

In other news, I have semi-secured a job as a full time nanny for hoity-toity rich folk. I shall let you know how that goes at the end of this week.

If you've ever seen The Nanny Diaries with Scarlett Johansson than you'll understand why I'm hesitant to take such a position. Really and truly.

Oh, and just one more for kicks.

The course of true love runs smooth sometimes.

I was going to make a list of things I really like, to combat the list I made a few days ago of things I don't like at all.

But I decided to just post pictures from one of mine and Robyn's favourite dates ever for two reasons:
1. I love Robyn with all of my heart.
2. A very cool and awesome Robyn-date is happening tomorrow (weather pending!).

So there will probably be lots more pictures of Robyn and I on the blog again tomorrow. DEAL.

My little digital camera works magic with the right people. :)

I'm a dandelion.

Sometimes you climb out of bed in the morning and you think,
I’m not going to make it,
but you laugh inside,
remembering all the times you’ve felt that way.

Dropping the lighter.

Things I don't like:

Headaches
Kitty howling into the night because she is in heat
Not getting a student loan
Dirty dishes
Having to buy five books for one class
School itself
Being unemployed
Being employed
Having a cough for seventeen days (and counting!)
Milk going bad before I can drink it all
Distance classes
Having to print off a 184 paged manual for my distance class
Doctor appointments
Pokemon
Assholes

At this moment I am not looking on the bright side of things. But give me cough free lungs, a murder mystery night and a new book and I'll be good to go.

Speaking of which, I've been reading like crazy in 2009. Here are the books I've read so far this year and I recommend them (minus The Summoning, it sucked) to you!

River Thieves by Michael Crummey
The Summoning by Kelly Armstrong
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

Yeah, I've been on a fantasy kick. But River Thieves was probably the best, holy cow the amount of research he must have done to write that book.

What have you been reading, hmm?

Fear and loathing.

Dear friends,

it would seem I have a virus. The computer sorts. Though I do still have my cold as well (since Boxing Day, and going strong!).

My absence from MSN, this blog, and commenting on other blogs is because I cannot be bothered to put up with the virus nonsense. Formatting my computer is also not an option because my cd drive is filled with super glue. Go me.

And so I'm left to sit and wonder what you're all up to. Unless David wants to be a pal and come to St. John's and fix my computer via USB drive like he did his. But I doubt he will.

One good news tidbit that I do have to share with you all is that I have forsaken the pay-as-you-go plan on my cell phone! I was weary of contracts with tumultuous companies like the non-existent Aliant, but found a loophole that allows me to have unlimited texting and other such perks.

So now I welcome your annoying texts of "what's up?", "i want to open a yarn store", and "i love your pussy". SEND THEM MY WAY.

But alas, I must go nap for this has tired me so. To anyone who missed last night's Merrymeeting party: for shame! Twas a blast like always. But don't worry, were batting a good two or three gatherings a week now, so another shan't be far in the distance.

Yours in love,
Sarah :)

Cough cough cough.

Oops! Miss me?

Life in a nutshell time:

My heart is significantly sadder today as my brother is venturing back to the Arctic as I type this. Hmmm. Not cool. Him leaving that is. The Arctic is cool... in a literal sense.

Yeah.

We now have a fourth roomie on Merrymeeting, Mr. Joey Miller. I know. You are jealous. But it is my chesterfield that Joey inhabits. DEAL.

I have this rip roaring cough that tears apart families and creates holes in the ozone. It leaves me gagging and crying and in desperate need of Buckleys or a 7up/OJ combo.

Robyn comes home Tuesday. I better be her date on Wednesday. THIS IS ME TELLING YOU, ROBYN MCHUGH, THAT WE HAVE A DATE ON WEDNESDAY.

I haven't seen anyone in so long. Robert Jones where are you? Not in my new house, that's for sure. Are we still on for Monday night Poli Sci classes?

I got married on Harvest Moon. To a farmer named Blue. We're happy together. If only a relationship was as easy as giving a boy fresh milk everyday until he wants to wed you. I would invest in a cow of my own. Or not.

LET'S ALL BE FRIENDS THIS WEEKEND, HMMM?

Tales.
