A day in the life. . . Continued.

So after burning 92km, stuffing our faces with greasy goodness and going to Wal-Mart to return a lawn mower, we made our way to the beach for the fire Shane had planned. Holly and I thought it would be one of those awkwards experiences because Shane had invited someone from every "group". It turned out to be a blast! Holly and I had a good times meshing with everyone over grape soda and marshmallows. Here are a few recaps:

The glowing embers of the fire! Steph made me take this picture because when you zoom in on a fire it looks "cool".

Holly and Steph were just so excited to be there, they couldn't contain themselves!

So of course Holly and I always look like we're on crack. (P.S. We were trying to stick our bums out as far as they would go, but! of course, Holly doesn't have a bum so she stuck out her chest)

The singing blanket crew! They know all the top forty hits.

The lovely Danika (and Robert) showed up. Danika wanted to roast a marshmallow but the fire was too huge and hot. So being the creative person that Sumo-Nika is, she made a shield to protect herself from the elements!

Even perched atop her log, Robert is still taller than Holly.

A day in the life.

Today was spent with Holly in an array of various activities. Instead of typing lots of words I decided to make it mostly a picture review:

Our first stop was at the Golden G, where I enjoyed a coffee ice-cream and Holly a caramel one.

While out on the deck, we decided to play the role of stalker and take pictures of Crazy Enterprise Lady while she walked with her daughter.

After that we went for a drive where Holly showcased her many exceptional talents.

Whilst driving, we randomly discovered the flowers we had planted in Grade Eight for a "beautification project".

Later on we went to Castaways Grub and Pub for supper.

I decided to spice things up a little! Instead of ordering my normal chicken-something item, I bought motza sticks! They were excellent.

We had an awesome server who allowed us to take pictures of him, sadly I didn't catch his name.

We then head to my nanny's, I had to drop off some flour. Not flowers. I see how you got confused for a moment there.

After visiting my nanny we went to visit Holly's poppys at the cemetery. It was really interesting because I have never been there before. I stumbled upon this and it broke my heart completely (take note of the piano and ninja turtles).

Afterwards on our way to the beach we saw that old school building thing was being redone. Perhaps in preperation of the schools merging? The rumor's going around again.

I'll make another post concerning the fire, which was also a part of this ridiculous day.

Red fish update.

As I posted yesterday, my fish Hubert, has turned red. I woke up this morning with the expectation of finding a normal grey Hubert and saw this:

An even more red Hubert. Sigh, notice the two spots? He's always had one spot but the other one just came along recently. Cancerous Hubert? :O How tragic.

Toronto terror plot foiled.

A group of Ontario residents were arrested yesterday. Apparently they were terrorists. How quaint. Twelve adults and five young people (young being 18 and under) were arrested after the RCMP found the makings for an explosive device.
"This group took steps to acquire three tons of ammonium nitrate and other components necessary to create explosive devices," said Royal Canadian Mounted Police Assistant Commissioner Mike McDonell in a statement.
To put this in perspective, that Oklahoma City bombing in 1995? It only used one ton, and that killed 168 people.

It has been confirmed that this group was "inspired" by the al Qaeda.

I felt the need to post this because people are always so sure that nothing bad can happen to Canada because we're so "nice". That is obviously not the case. Especially with this new resolve that Harper has for helping Bush in Afghanistan, Canada is a bigger target than it ever was.

One fish. Two fish. Red fish. Dead fish.

Today I noticed that my ancient fish has turned red. Somehow Hubert, the normally grey fish, has turned albino. I should phone Darwin and ask him about it.

On another subject: my eye has turned red. It's really pained and bloated looking. If I have pink-eye, I think I will die a little on the inside. For some reason pink-eye to me, is the most disgusting thing you could catch ever. With the exception of gonorrhea of course.
