Everybody Vogue!

Shockingly scary eyes in my Vogue.

What do I need?

I normally don't do this sort of stuff in my blog, but I know I have readers out there who would think this is cute.

Basically just type "[Your name] needs" into Google and take the top ten results. It's kind of comical the stuff that you get.

Here's mine:

Sarah needs. . .
  1. To get her life back and establish herself as a person in charge!
  2. To be hooked up to a respirator in order to survive.
  3. You.
  4. A cold shower.
  5. A Livejournal.
  6. To hand him one of those weapons that went off without warning.
  7. Your manly vote!
  8. Support now.
  9. Your help.
  10. To play!

Save me, I am swallowed by the guilt of this.

It’s a weird thing these wars.

People are usually shocked to hear that the US led invasion of Iraq has been going on longer than the First World War. I know I was. Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that George Bush announced he was going against the UN’s wishes?

People are curious about how long this war in Iraq is going to last and what the consequence of it is going to be.

Here’s Sarah’s guess (we’ll have to come back here in some time and find out if I’m right):

Length of war: More years than I am willing to count.
Consequence of war: A whole nation destroyed, US oil tanks full and a generation of people completely disillusioned with their government (though the vast majority will do nothing about this).

Here’s the story: this war is either going to be brought to a slow halt by the next government in 2008 or it’s just going to keep going. Let it be known that once you’ve stuck your hand in the blueberry pie, the stains last quite awhile.

Wars keep getting longer. Four years for WW1, six for WW2, eleven for Vietnam and what feels like a million for the Cold War (actually it was something like forty-four).

It’s so simple to start, but all consuming to end.

As for the consequence of this lovely raid of Iraqi soil, will we ever truly know? Trillions of dollars lost, thousand of lives, thousands of homes, thousands of refugees.

Whether it’s a great depression or its soldiers coming home and shooting their brains out in their laundry rooms, to every action there will be an equal and opposite reaction.

So what’s it going to be this time around?

Who shot that arrow in your throat?

Justin Trudeau say what?

It's sad that I need my dose of Friday already. But I will be having another big study weekend, there's no way I can't.

Essays, research projects, quizes, exams. They all happen next week. They all make me have this headache I have right now.

Oh yeah, my face is broken. My eyes can't stop crying. I have a blister on my cheek. My nose is either always running or stuffed up. And of course, this massive headache.

I am just amazing.

In other news, we's all be sexy bitches.

With the man who sold the world.

Special story time!

Once upon a time, there were these four really cool people.

Two of them, Leah and Dave, had awesome flying contraptions.

Another, Robert, had a really neat elephant to ride.

Holly was really jealous because she had no elephant or cool flying contraption. So she jumped off a cliff. But in doing so, she realized she could fly!

Being a nice person, she taught her other friends to hover.

But eventually thanks to bribes and flattery, she taught them the secret of flight.

THE END.

Where do the children play?

Today at school on the last day before Winter Break, I had an absolute anxiety attack and ended up pretty much crying in my Political Science prof's office. Trust me. You would have too.

Tonight I went down on Water Street and made a couple new friends like Meggie and Robert, oh and of course, Johnny Cash.

Johnny asked me if I knew any Cat Stevens, I said that I couldn't claim to be a fan. He said that he'd play me a song and there was a special lyric. I was suppose to listen for it.

He had to point it out for me.

Well you've cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air.
But will you keep on building higher,
'Til theres no more room up there?
Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry?
Will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die?

I know we've come a long way,
Were changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?

Obstacles in problem-solving.

A quick update, k?

So this weekend has been mostly me and my books. And not in a fun way. Last weekend I accomplished absolutely nothing and I'm making up for it this time around.

I stayed home Friday and studied all night. Woke up Saturday at 8:30 and repeated the process until night hit and I dragged myself out of my laborious study stupor and over to Rob's. I enjoyed a Stephenville night with the guys, complete with pizza, grape juice and political debates on the idea of who will be the next Democratic leader in the States.

This morning I slept in until 10 and then just started it all over again. But it's been worth it, I have gone over all the modules in Psych twice, making up study card things for the stuff I'm unsure of. I'm almost done Frankenstein and started plotting how my essay will look. Got the Poli Sci stuff from a new PS friend because I had missed a couple classes. And even managed to finish another chapter in one of my Sociology texts.

It has not been easy.

But my nerves have yet to be alleviated in concerns to the Psych midterm I have Tuesday. And this Poli Sci midterm is worth fifty percent of my final grade in the class.

And I just want to have a life again basically.

And I will.

BECAUSE LEAH THE HO COMES ON FRIDAY!!1!!!11!!ONE!!! :D

You say you're scared, well so am I.

I put this battle in a box
With my military thoughts
And the days where I was almost at my end
Seems to me quite clear now
Now that you are here how
Easily I could begin again

I'm still bloody from last year's war
With liars and lovers untrue
And hey you with your stars out
I have no angry words for you

Dear Leah,

I LIED. YOU'RE A HO.

Playmate of the year.

NOT ANNA NICOLE. :(

Edit: I meant she died. And she was totally playmate of the year in '93.

Lisa likes Nelson.

Tonight Sarah is very, very sick.

And only one thing has successfully cheered her up all day:

Sherri: She was looking at Nelson!
Kids: Lisa likes Nelson!
Milhouse: She does not!
Kids: Milhouse likes Lisa!
Janey: He does not!
Kids: Janey likes Milhouse!
Mr. Largo: Nobody likes Milhouse!

Wait until everyone is safely single and ready to mingle.

First off, scary news bit. I actually saw the video on television and I was blown away. What do you do once you've just realized that you ended someone elses life by accident?

Tonight Rob and I ventured to Wal-Mart to buy some groceries. Three dollar pizza never seemed so appealing. I hate having to watch what I spend.

As I watched Robert try to deal with the idea of having to buy the Equate brand shampoo, I realized that I despise those kids who have their youth funded just because they are someone's children. Spoiled brats think summer jobs make any sort of difference.

Bitter?

Tonight I picked up a book at Chapters. Which was a mistake because in addition to the novels I got for Christmas and the ones I have to read for English, my reading list is full. Summer will come soon enough.

Rick Mercer is gay, cool or what.

The modern prometheus.

The weekend was fun but so unproductive which really saddens me because I have so much work to do. Friday night was girl's night with Holly but it turned into learn everyone's-name-night.

Holly rockin' out on the house's drums!

So yeah. This was just a picture post more than anything. Lately I've had nothing to blog about, unless it was something stupid. Well this is pretty stupid, but promises were made about pictures being put on blogs.

FRANKENSTEIN'S NOT REALLY FRANKENSTEIN LOLZ.

Most Americans.
