Don't fix it if it's not broken.

Gone back to the old template, the new one was giving me trouble. :P

Sometimes I wish. . .

Dear PostSecret,
I love you.
You get me through life.

Partay(s).

So this weekend has been fun fun fun. Last night was Ky's birthday party and I made lots of new friends and had an absolute wicked time.

Tonight it's my turn to host, as we throw Kylie's Birthday Part II 2006. I have a feeling we can't recreate the wicked awesome time we had last night, but we can sure as heck try!

Tomorrow after work I'll update about both parties including pictures and video. But for now I am going to read some book before the crowd comes.

Wish me luck.

Apres moi le deluge. After me comes the flood.

I think iTunes is pretty exciting. I get amazing quality songs for cheap. It's cheapers than buying a CD. So far I've downloaded:

  • Regina Spektor's album, Begin to Hope
  • Sufjan Steven's album, A Sun Came
  • Starfield song, My Generation

My only piss off is that I could only get the old Starfield album (I already own it) and just a couple songs off the new one. But on the American iTunes website you can buy the whole new album! :( This isn't fair since they are a Canadian band. Ugh. Darryl explained why this is the case, but it still sucks.

Today I've been making list after list. I seem to have a little bit of OCD going on when it comes to list. Well, when it comes to anything. Crazy Enterprise Lady is OCD and she said that I am too. Maybe. Eek.

My lists are mostly stuff for moving and university. Things that I'm taking to the new house. Things that are going in the dorm. Things that get packed away. Things. . . blah blah blah.

It occured to me last night that I haven't watched AC360 in like two weeks. That is shocking. Everytime I find Gloria Vanderbilt clothes at work, I talk to Pauline about how she is going to be my mother-in-law someday. Needless to say, Pauline thinks I'm crazy. He's only 22 years older than me.

ALPACAS AND LLAMAS OH MY.

Our children are born to live.

The family is gone! This means a week of rest, relaxation and good blog posts (instead of the crap I’ve been posting lately).

Last night I had a big ol’ chat with someone I haven’t talked to in a pretty long time. Some how we got on the topic of the war happening in Israel/Lebanon/Gaza.

He said he was a supporter of Israel. I told him I wasn’t into choosing sides, but from where I was standing Israel was giving a lot more than they are getting. Kind of like, the Palestine fires one bomb, they fire three! I’m not sure this a method that will allow me to support them.

His reasoning was basically that the Palestinian people were bullies. Israel would be happy to stop, if the others would just stop attacking (I think this is what was said). They in essence, cannot stop unless they want to be “overruled”.

Here is my thing. Why does there have to be a winner at all? I just don’t get how these intelligent rulers of these prominent countries, cannot understand that there can be no one winner. No one can come out on top in the end.

I really am not that well informed about this war that is happening, but I did really like this article. It definitely puts everything I’ve been thinking into perspective.

"Israelis, too, are a traumatized people, and their nation's current actions are driven in part by a hard determination, born of the Holocaust, to "never again go like sheep to the slaughter." But if "never again" drives the politics of reprisal, few seem to notice that the reprisals themselves are obscenely out of scale to the provocation: For every crude Qassam rocket falling harmlessly, far from its target, dozens, sometimes hundreds of shells rain down on the Palestinians. For one missing soldier, a million and a half Gazans are made to suffer. In Israel, today, it is "never again" gone mad.

The irony is that, contrary to making themselves more safe, the Israelis, just like the Americans in Iraq, are only sowing the seeds of more hatred and rage."

[Also, this is my one hundredth post! Congratulate me! :)]
