Otherside.

Tomorrow morning I am leaving on a very exciting road trip! You will find me all over this great island (and maybe off of it too!) pitching my tent on every grassy knoll.

This means no blogging or MSN-ing, but if you need to reach me, textual communication via cellphone is the way to go.

Be excited for me and as previously stated, pictures will follow.

See you next weekend!

This is not really happening.

So I am pretty much peeing with excitement. Monday needs to get here right now.

Two more work shifts, Saturday and Sunday! Eighteen more hours. Four more breaks. Two more early mornings. Almost finished!

Monday is going to be an early morning too but for all the right reasons. You can't guess why and I'm not going to tell you. Trust that there will be TONS of pictures.

I will probably end up telling you.

Ummm. I need you to watch this, okay? MMMM, A CAPPELLA.

Your choir group should sing that one, Robyn.

Bonne fête.

Today is Heather's 20th birthday! Ohmygoodnessss.

So Heather. I think we must have known each other in a past life because I find myself deeply in love with you already. You are the nicest person I have ever met and you laugh at my jokes even when they aren't funny.

You speak French. You read books. You like to craft. What more could I ask for in a friend?

Party party party when everyone returns fo' shizzle!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HEATHER!

Yogurt breast.

Did my final overnight last night. And it killed. I didn’t bother doing much, I sat in the back and chatted with the baker and did the crossword that was in the paper (what is a positively charged electrode, four letters?!).

I fell asleep in the staff room at one point. Ended up kind of falling off the chair and scared myself awake.

So what have I been up to? (Because apparently people actually enjoy being filled in on my interesting life? I’ll just assume it’s because they’ve been away from me for months and they’ve forgotten how boring I am.) Spending a lot of time at my new home. I now officially live at Dave’s and by officially I mean that I say I do but I really don’t.

They make me very happy (they being my "roomies"). Even Schrödinger. Oh, you haven’t met Schrödinger Prime? Let me introduce you:
I hate cats. I am in love with this cat. She eats your heart with her cuteness and then throws it back up in rainbow form.

So yeah, other than hanging out with the third generation S'ville family I haven't been doing too much. Well, working. And knitting. And being sooo excited for this coming semester that I want to puke.

Yeah, that's all.

We need new hobbies.

Note to self: friends have ADD and suck at staying still.

Environmentally friendly knit.

Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart with my Mom. I can only handle that store when I have a list, nothing irks me more than browsing through The Wal Marts. On my list yesterday was "bacon" and "multi-coloured yarn". I was really tempted to just drop my list on the ground so someone else could find it and be all who is this amazing carnivorous knitter?!

I resisted.

So I got to the yarn section and started searching. I had no idea what colours I was looking for, only that I wanted one with at least two shades. I searched to no avail, until I noticed up on the tops of the shelves (where they keep these weird milk-crate things filled with extra balls) a striking colour pattern.

So of course using my go-go-Gadget arms I reach up and fling it down. And not only is it the most beautiful colour combo ever (gold, navy and violet), but it is eco-friendly wool! I knew automatically it was going to be a ridiculous amount of money but I did not even care because it was perfect.

Anyway, I didn't realize until I got out of there that it was only $2.75 a ball! Which is like the cheapest ball of wool I ever purchased, so I'm hoping when I go back there will be more for me to purchase. I'm thinking of mastering the mitten. Or the toque, I haven't decided yet.

The moral of this story is that I've started a new scarf and it's beautiful and eco-friendly (made in Canada wool too!) and will only cost me $2.75. You should all get on the knitting band wagon.

Toronto explodes.

There is something absolutely frightening about an entire city screaming together into the night. Watch until at least two minutes.

Coxswain.

Let's see.

Yesterday was Friday, aka Regatta day (which for the record, has to be the dumbest holiday EVER), today is Saturday. I have finally managed to distinguish which day of the week it is.

I put my notice in at work yesterday. I have decided that working there during school will kind of conflict with my classes (12pm-5pm MWF, hehe). Basically I am too excited to get back to late nights/mornings. 5:00am wake up calls in the summer, WTF?

Speaking of classes, although I can't change it on Saturdays (because MUN's website doesn't believe in Saturdays?), I have decided to take another MARLAND class this year. :):):)

How you ask? He is offering a new class (for him anyway) this semester!!!! And it's a research/writing class (something I actually need) so it's not like I'm going just for him (I would though). Do you think he'll notice the whole five semesters in a row thing?

Probably, eh.

So I'm going to try and play this down a whole lot since I know there is a certain someone aching to see this movie, but Allison, her roommates and I went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 last evening. And it was good... really good.

If you read the books and loved them or saw the first movie and loved it, you will love this one... a lot. And if you both read the books and saw the first movie and loved them, you will really love this one... a lot.

That's about as nonchalant as I can get.

Esme is my favourite.

This is a response to Twilightical Anticipation. So if you didn't like that post, don't read this one.

I finished Breaking Dawn a couple days ago. I tried to make it last as long I could since it is the last novel in this saga (though Stephenie Meyer already announced a "reference" companion to the books, it will be all about the characters and out around the same time as the Twilight movie).

So. I have heard that sooo many people didn't like this book. AT ALL. And I can definitely see why that would be the case since it is unlike any of the other books. She kind of mangles the characters to make them fit into the end she wants. And a lot of people are seeing it as unrealistic.

Here is where I laugh because it is a book about vampires. I mean come on people, of course it's going to be far fetched. Were you expecting normalcy?

I actually enjoyed this book and it has taken it's place as the second best book in the Twilight saga (behind the original Twilight). I actually enjoyed how she resolved the conflicts set up in the previous books. And I don't think she mangled the characters but instead made them more complex, which I found fun (although just a little confusing).

One thing for people who haven't purchased and started the book yet but plan to: there is a little explain-the-vampire-covens guide in the back of the book DO NOT read it until the novel suggests you consult it around page 600ish I think.

Let me know when you guys have read it! And what you think! I promise not to rant about this stuff again until the movie comes out and I go see it like eight times. You'll come, si?!

Listen to the music of the moment.

Listen to this song and you will feel 56%* better than you did before you watched it. That's a pretty big jump considering it's only three minutes and forty-one seconds of your life.

My pants on friend.

Eeeee. It is this pretty boy's birthday!

Although you plot to run back to South America again, I love you wholeheartedly. You are the rootbeer in my rum.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVEEE. :)

Twilightical anticipation.

Okay.

I am saying this right now before I get any farther than the book sleeve and the opening acknowledgments of Breaking Dawn: I have high expectations for this book.

Which means I will inevitably be crushed because no book can possibly reach what I have conjured in my head.

Nonetheless, I am so far ecstatic with what I've read (instead of dedicating the book to her family or friends she dedicates it to her all time favourite band ever, Muse, which happens to be one of my all time favourite bands).

Though I'm already confused because apparently this is the conclusion?! Or so it says on the book sleeve... But she did say she way going to rewrite the first book from Edward's perspective which is going to AWESOME.

Oh, and this book is the biggest of the big. 750 pages, yum yum yum!

Since maybe two people read this far (and probably neither of them understand) I am going to end this abruptly now and will let you know how it goes when I'm done.
