Obligatory review.

Twilight has been mine for a long time. I spent quite a long time defending myself over this book.

"Hey Sarah, what are you reading now?"

"Twilight!"

"Oh yeah? Never heard of it. What's it about?"

"Umm, well. It's about this girl who falls in love with a vampire. And like, how it's pretty complicated."

"... Why are you so gay?"

But then I woke up one day and people were all like "omg, have you ever heard of Twilight?!" and I have to be all "omg, you just judged me like ten seconds ago" and then they go all "omg, no! I don't remember that!"

So now it's cool to like Twilight. Whatever.

The movie. I always thought this would make a good movie. Except it would have to be a Pride and Prejudice mini-series sort of thing. Two hours doesn't really do the book justice.

The characters? Exceptionally well chosen in my opinion. Rob Pattinson = sex. So that's always great. PEA COATS AND HAIR OF ANGELS AND COLLAR LOVE, WOW. Stylists, give yourself a nice big pat on the back.

Kristen Stewart is cool. The voice? EEEEEEEEEEh. The look? Very Bella.

Jacob, um, YUM. Man this cast was hot hot hot. Seriously, see the movie for just like a major actor-boner. Yeah, I just said that.

Soundtrack? PERFECT. I was worried they wouldn't put a Muse song on it.

One complaint would be that the whole movie was super desaturated. It was very bland looking. But they were totally going for that so everyone would look all emo and pale. Whatevs.

Did I mention Rob Pattinson is sex?

Yesterday was Friday, aka Regatta day (which for the record, has to be the dumbest holiday EVER), today is Saturday. I have finally managed to distinguish which day of the week it is.

I put my notice in at work yesterday. I have decided that working there during school will kind of conflict with my classes (12pm-5pm MWF, hehe). Basically I am too excited to get back to late nights/mornings. 5:00am wake up calls in the summer, WTF?

Speaking of classes, although I can't change it on Saturdays (because MUN's website doesn't believe in Saturdays?), I have decided to take another MARLAND class this year. :):):)

How you ask? He is offering a new class (for him anyway) this semester!!!! And it's a research/writing class (something I actually need) so it's not like I'm going just for him (I would though). Do you think he'll notice the whole five semesters in a row thing?

Probably, eh.

So I'm going to try and play this down a whole lot since I know there is a certain someone aching to see this movie, but Allison, her roommates and I went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 last evening. And it was good... really good.

If you read the books and loved them or saw the first movie and loved it, you will love this one... a lot. And if you both read the books and saw the first movie and loved them, you will really love this one... a lot.

That's about as nonchalant as I can get.

Holly and I are planning a super awesome trip to St. Pierre for the end of August, if you’re wondering.

In exchange she wanted a post about movies she should watch this summer. Because apparently I talk about movies a lot? I guess I do watch quite a few, but all the S’ville peeps are into that so I never notice.

$8.38, not bad at all. We'll have to try and break that record next time. It was one hell of an evening, and so stereotypically Robyn and I.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Atonement was really well done. I was expecting a nice romance story, something a little frivolous that didn’t really require a lot of thinking. But every frame told a story, every line was of great importance. We found ourselves going back and watching scenes over just to gather the whole effect.

Not a movie I’d recommend if you’re looking for a no-thought romance, it definitely had a lot of depth. I’d be very interested in reading the book.

We had a very yummy breakfast this morning. Just ended up happening around lunchtime.

Saw a movie with my Mom this afternoon. It had great actors but it wasn’t good.

Last Saturday night Robyn and I ventured to the movie theatre to spend some love-time together. We had decided upon seeing Across the Universe. All I knew about it was that it was a musical featuring Evan Rachel Wood and Bono.

About three songs in, Robyn and I caught on that it was a musical using all of The Beatle’s hits. Cool.

I’m not a devoted Beatle’s fan like some, but I do respect what they did for the musical world and how they changed it single-handedly. Even if Paul McCartney likes seals a little too much.

A psychedelic love story with talented actors and musicians, the whole thing was visually stunning. I kept saying to Robyn that we needed some LSD or acid or something because it felt like we were sitting in the sixties.

It was seriously the best movie I have seen in FOREVER. It definitely made it into my top five favourite movies of all time. As soon as I got home I downloaded the soundtrack, it’s still extraordinary, even without the moving pictures.

And if all that doesn’t make you want to go see it, finding out that Bono sings I am the Walrus should.

Last night instead of going to the bar with everyone else, Sheena and I took it easy and went to the movies. Knocked Up! is absolutely hilarious. I can't remember the last movie I saw that made me laugh so much. The cast was pretty much the same cast of 40 Year Old Virgin, it actually kind of worked though.

This morning I was greeted with the news that a sniper was trying to kill people down near where I work. AKA: No work for me today! Yayyy. He's still there right now and if he can hold off for a couple more hours, the store won't open at all. Yayyy.

It's an Iqaluit thing.

Tomorrow is Nunavut Day so I get the day off with pay at the Day Care and I'll get time and a half at NorthMart. Work absolutely dragged at both places this past week, so hopefully the pace will pick up a bit since it's just four days of work.

I will say this: My kids are all gorgeous.

Holly and I watched Crash tonight. I've seen that movie quite a number of times, it never gets less amazing. I think it should be enforced that everyone has to watch that movie. It will change your life.

My knee is soooo messed up.

I didn't jog today and feel sad/lazy because of it. Promise I will tomorrow, Sketchy Fantasticos who watch for me in the dark.

So, underneath my overwhelmingly pained stomach I have guilt gut. Who'd I hurt? I can't recall.
