Salvation in a drug.

CBC Newsworld on channel 59 is REALLY interesting. Usually when I'm watching a news program, they'll have like two stories I'm interested in, and four I'm not. But with this program every single story was absolutely fascinating.

They did one on buying Tamiflu (the drug that might help "protect" you from the avian flu) online without a prescription. This company was selling it for like $299.99 USD, for ten tablets. The kicker was you didn't need a prescription. People must be a lot more trusting than I am, because I would assume that they were selling counterfeit drugs. Also, ten tablets? That's like what, enough for a couple weeks? And that's just one person. People have whole families they want to "protect".

Now I am the queen of worry when it comes to bird flu, this is the first thing that has ever scared me. Terrorism, meh. SARS, pfft. But bird flu?! AHHHHHHHH. But I would never ever ever ever, buy drugs online like that. It could be cyanide capsules for goodness sakes.

They also did a story on mukluks. Apparently they're hip now.
